Middlesbrough Lions are just days away from the biggest basketball game of their history. The tadea Lions are in a three way tie for first place and play joint first Rossendale Raptors this Sunday at Eston Sports Academy, 4pm.
Over 300 people turned out to see Lions win over Hull a fortnight ago and the club is making a big promo drive for this epic game.
The event has captured interest from around the country with more than a few basketball fans from further afield making the journey. We also have a number of VIP’s and special guests in attendance for what promises to be a special day.
Most importantly, we need you and your support.
There will also be a shooting competition at half time. Just £1 to enter (U17 only)
Rossendale bring with them a very high profile player in former BBL star Stephen Gayle. Gayle is averaging 32 points per game and the former Chester Jet will need to be stopped by Lions. Lions though are flying high looking for their 7th straight win. The Lions have Tom Robinson who is fighting hard with Gayle for the player of the season award along with American giant Mike Konanec who was MVP in Lions last two games. Italian favourite; Papis Samb is fully fit while new signings Luke Somerville and Dijon Fisher will also play a big part.
It’s a game where neither team can afford to lose…. Don’t miss out this Sunday.
Tickets are just £4 adults, £3 children (17&U) & £12 family (2 adults, 2 children)
Tickets for TBL players are just £2. Just mention the TBL.
Spectators are asked to be seated for 3.30pm
